Hello there, boys and ghouls! It's October and I've got just the contest for you! It's something so nightmarish, even Freddy Kruger wouldn't dare fall asleep.

I present to you, the Creepy Cut and Paste.

The objective is to cut and paste anything from any manga into a one page spooktastic story or a horrifying Halloween postcard.

Here is an example of a post card put together by a Discord member who didn't wish to be named:


Everyone will have until midnight of the 28th to enter their work. Anything posted after that will be disqualified. We will then open voting up to the public for the 29th and 30th. The lucky winner will be announced on the 31st and awards will be handed out. Please note that at the time of this post, prizes have not been finalized but there may or may not be runners up depending on how many prizes we can scrounge up.

Rules:

1. Images must be SFW
2. No plagiarism

Black/white manga works pretty well with .gif color range, I'll probably enter something like that ...

Are non-manga crops allowed?
For example, go on an artist's twitter and crop from an individual work they've uploaded?

I'm afraid I'm going to have to limit it to manga. I suppose I could allow manga fanart, but that's as far as I'd go.

Sky's the limit! Do whatever you want to your spooky one page story or your postcard. It isn't limited to just copy and paste.

It looks *exactly* like an early 2000s scan where no one knew what they were doing and just scanned from an open volume without separating the page from the spine.

kinda of a stupid question but can i use some backdrops from anime? its pretty hard to find backgrounds from manga without a weird angle or a person in them and if i try to edit them out it ends up kinda turning into mush ..( T-T ).... and one anime which doesnt have a manga has killer backdrops o-o this question will probably be a no but i wanted to ask anyway o_o and one last question can i make a streamlined gif? like one gif that tells a story through different frames or does it have to be layed out like a manga/postcard? o-o

I'd prefer that people not use anime backgrounds since this is a manga oriented site, but I don't like to stifle creativity. If you think you can make it work, go for it!

I'm A-OK with gifs! Doesn't have to be a static image.
