Description:
In the Sengoku Period (1579), there is a young woman who has lost everything, and dedicated herself to seeking strength and a death on the battlefield. Reiri once lived happily with her family, until the day soldiers came by after a battle. Her father, mother and brother sacrificed themselves in order for her to survive. She was only saved with the intervention of Okabe Tanpa no Kami, who had been sheltering in the village. In his service, she grew and learned to fight well, chasing her goal of a death in battle. However, her path to death may not be as short and straight as she hopes...

The drawings have an interesting quality to it, specially the eyes. I'm believing the artist is borrowing parts of Iwaaki style in some panels.

Different artist but the writer did Parasyte so I have high hopes for this series beyond interesting art and a cool setting

This manga surprisingly good.
The main character is a young girl, Reiri, having to lose her beloved family because of being slaughtered by impudent warriors.
She is really brave. She tried and always practiced swinging swords, fighting alternately with other citizens.
She is saved by Tanba-sama, giving her a place to stay and saving her from danger.
But soon, she was released so that she can became stronger, especially measuring her ambition for what had happened to her.

I like the depiction of emotions here. Although not too focused on political issues, it is exciting to follow.
It's mainly talk about her journey.
