Why is there so much hate for the husband? I feel much worst for him than the Ophelia. Forget about the false accusation, there's also the whole fake lover thing and he's just letting her do as she pleases.

To me her action is terrible. She just let her imagination run wild and refused to believe Diana/her husband's words. A happy look in a public place doesn't mean jack squat, he could've been looking like that because Diana teased him about her. But her reaction is to assume he has feelings for Diana, then get a guy (Claude) to fake being her not-so-secret lover to get a divorce and refuses to listen to a word he says.

Chapter 3 basically said he was the "perfect" husband after marriage but because of a single look, she made all these baseless assumptions. He tried to say he enjoy spending time with her before she spazzed out at him. Wouldn't be surprise if he told her, he loved her and she just refused to believe him before biting his head off.

To all the people yelling against the husband,
We have till now only heard of the husband from the wife's point of view. I mean, it's her thought and actions that has led the story so far, and no such thing has been shown or said that say whether what the wife think is correct or not.

Y'all forget, back then women could not divorce men. The man had to initiate the divorce and it was then decided by a judge if they could divorce.... Otherwise the woman was stuck in a relationship where she depended on the man and could not escape from him until death.

And the husband... OH. MY. GOD. I hate him so much I want to sever his head off. He's literally the villain in the story. Either he's so stupid that he hasn't realized Ophelia's true nature —I mean she wasn't like this before, how can you still not realize that she loves you— or he's an as*hole and is literally taking his sweet time to clear up these misunderstandings. Either way, he's disgusting and should die.
For Pete's sake, why love him? He's worthless and Ophelia deserves someone better. Someone who can actually love her properly.

yall totally care about her, so just clear up the misunderstanding. even if you were to "incorrectly assume" why she behaves the way she does, it doesn't hurt to talk to her about your assumptions. this manga totally breaks my heart. none of them are dicks except the dad, but he can be fck all irrelevant for all i care. even that cousin vehemently denied any relationship between the duke and her.

I am always the first person to yell "F Talk to each other", but here I truly don't care for it, since all the information we have received is that the husband is a p.o.s and the wife just wants to get away and live her life in peace. People mention the novel, but the comic should do a good job on its own to portray his side, but it doesn't yet, hence don't give a rats ass about him.

And yes, the butler is a f asshole, trying to get good points for saying "just call for help, I was just outside the door", when you refused to listen to her and shut it in the first place.
