@Chrona Loki called Heracles a demi-god in the first chapter he appeared, so maybe like Brünhilde he didn't get a vote. |

I'm still trying to understand why Heracles voted humanity should end if he doesn't believe that, and before you ask, yes, the vote for humanity's end was said to be "unanimous", not "99%" in favour during chapter 1. I'm going to have to assume the author just didn't actually realize he'd make it this far but it still bugs me. |

@DringDring @ERode imo, heracles will lose. well, in a way, heracles is to blame for this, isn't he? because of his 'overflowing' justice, he basically made zeus promised him not to meddle with the humans. effectively making the humans ignorant of the gods existence. so the human get more and more unrestrained until the gods can't take it anymore and want to annihilate them. it's the blind justice, without any regards of the consequences. it's not even justice at this point. it's his ego. because justice is based on the law. and it used to be, the gods make the law. so by protecting thebes, hercules is actually pushing for injustice. my prediction is, jack will point this out, shaking heracles mental state, and win. |

The more I see that fight, the more I believe a "tie" will appear. Heracles is too stubborn to die to Evil. And Jack is to sneacky to simply let the fight continue being so boring as "throw many knive and hoping he die". In a sense Heracles will won against Evil. Yet loose on the long run with the fact that he won't be able to call on the Gods to defend humanity. And Humanity won't exactly lose since another God will bite the dust. |

@phil777 Why does everyone keep forgetting that in this story they have a premise "some history and mythology are completely misunderstood by humanity" |

Lol, totally out of line with the mythology. Heracles was supposed to have made it through godhood with effort and fortitude during his 12 works that lead to his redemption for the sin of killing his family at the time. As if Ambrosia would be such a shortcut to godhood. =.= |

I really like how this hero story for Heracles is build up. He's also the idle mythological figure to do that with. I really hope Jack's not gonna get a redeeming flashback, but instead will remain a truly evil human in this story. |

Huh, I actually sorta like it. Heracles basically bought humanity 4000 years to raise up the heroes they need to kick the gods' teeth in in Ragnarok. I think I can be happy for the lad even if Jack dishonorably murders him. |

@puta We obviously all know the author is just making up backstories that have no relation with the original versions of these religious myths and folklore tales. I meant I don't want the author to do anything of the kind with Jack, he's better with no backstory at all. Also, nice to touch to have extremists in the audience cheering Jack on. |

@Kendama @Astraea For what I read in wikipedia about jack, there is no past to show, he was a mistery, but they could come up with some nosense as they have been doing it. Did Anyone have just read the chapter 3 of Genesis? read something about Thor, Poseidon, or the guy than won against poseidon? All of these stories are far away from the original mitology. |

I'm actually rooting for Jack just because things will be mightily shaken up if Heracles loses. It's not just a case of "if Heracles wins, he loses". The converse is true: "If Jack wins, humanity loses", because Heracles was their sole champion in the pantheon. Never thought a braindead meatheads' fighting manga would actually be anything more than a guilty pleasure, but there are some levels of irony in the current fight that make this series a delight. Another hint that Heracles will lose is that Brünhilde said the gods would try their hardest to win the fourth round. So the author was playing Heracles up from the beginning, which is nine times out of ten a defeat flag. I also hope there's no flashback to Jack. True evil should remain incomprehensible. He should just win while spouting Victorian values nonsense. |
