it's more scarring then an issue with the story itself. What went wrong with Usagi drops wasn't that she loved him, it's that they built up a relationship between him and the single mom next door and her and the single mom's son over the course of years only for all of that to be suddenly dumped at the end for that. when people get agitated about these stories, I think they're just misattributing the resentment of being baited with a good romance only to be switched with cheap wincest. That's how I think anyway. It's probably fine if it's like this from the start and a better relationship with someone else isn't built up so they're just whining.

All these people afraid of some potential future events, it's ridiculous.

Just enjoy the story for now.

There has been a manga or two where the it was propery treated as puppy love. but truly that tag is concerning.

As others have, I too have now noticed that shitty romance tag. Usagi Drop was enough of that garbage to last a lifetime.
