Last time MC turned his brain off when the player choice menu popped up. Did he realize his train of thought affects the options? Probably not, he seems to think certain events are predestined no matter how he interferes which is just a cop out by the author.

@rrolo1 You sort of need that handicap because save scumming can just be abused whenever to get the ideal outcome. A hard limit on reloads based on target rank could have been a good solution. The low yen cost of loads just prevents him from doing perfect actions like winning a fight by knowing every punch that's coming his way through hundreds of reloads.

MC is still acting like he has to play the game like the devs intended ... ;) . Say, he has a boatload of stuff he could had used in this situation ( say , he could use his invisible sword to block the knife attack just by putting himself in the way, for a 2 seconds of thought solution ) or he could even simply block the knife girl of even getting close of Kusora ( he is physically much larger than her and presumably stronger as well.) Also , he now knows she has a knife and where she has it hidden, so he could even disarm her easily before she even thought on picking it ...

My point is that he doesn't need to get to that VN style "choose now" state, but he acts like he does. Maybe he just played too much Hentai VN to even think he could have a choice in the matter ... ;)

Save / Load is 100k yen so that's not too bad. The tranquilizer is only 250k so that's cheap as well. He got 30 million for finishing the second quest when he first met Kusora and 50 million with a 10 million bonus for the one when he met Hikami. So he should have enough even with saves for the stopwatch. The big question I have isn't about the money or the stopwatch it's about his time limit. He had a 1 year time limit for this game. We haven't really seen how much time he's used or has left after the first few chapters, but he seems to have lost most of his urgency for completing the game recently after the cult.

And each mission is actually a lot of money the first mission he got as 50 million and he probably wasted around 5 million and that’s one of the lowest rank pretty sure he gained over 500 million on his other mission considering one of them ranked up to A with that cult thing. Loading is pretty cheap it’s like going to the inn for other games but buying hi-potion and consumables hurts the pocket more.

Fair, but at least foreshadow this stuff a bit. My biggest criticisms so far is that MC keeps getting asspulls or making dumb choices and its ruining an otherwise compelling story @Invader_Retro

I usually don't mind DEMs, but this one was a bit too forced and waaaaaaaaaaaaay too obvious.
