This manga was really great up to chapter 11. Then from chapter 12 to chapter 17 it turned to crap and was really clichéd and trope-ridden. But since chapter 18 it's been amazing. I really hope it will continue like this.

I dig slowburn type of stories as long as the reward in the end is good. I hope author can convey that reward well in the story, even if that's not a yuri ending. Don't know why people are so agitated it may not be yuri. IRL girls act like this. 🤨

Everyone reading Tropical Fish can see it's more than just normal friendship.

Given the magazine this gets serialised on I highly doubt there's going to be anything more than girl friendships.

god the next ch cant come soon enough, this ch was really nice yet super like hard to read ( its just like the title says for this ch) at the same time and then yet next ch idk it might be awkward for the whole fact that they're going to the same place as the other girl in fact if they do meet up with her and the others she's with i feel its gonna be a really weird situation as Kaede is really forcing it at this point but we'll see

The build up and the rising restlessness in Konatsu's thoughts are great, like many other things in this manga. But i really wonder what exactly is the content of those bottled up feelings, if they're not yuri like author-san seems to have implied in her tweets. In that case i feel like she has been a bit dishonest to her fans, not wanting to write a full romance story, but still baiting more readers with romantic vibes between the characters.

If this was really a yuri manga at this point after 22 chapter there wouldn't be no more beating around the bush, so i don't think it'll become one now, but author went (purposefully i think) a bit too overboard in conveying Konatsu and Koyuki's feelings of loneliness.

pretty much agree with the other comments, the author's uncannily good at capturing the mood of teenage angst. i don't particularly mind the lack of development as i get the feeling she's carefully setting up the tone and backdrop for the climax, and it's nice to really be able to feel the moody atmosphere when a manga purports to show you a moody scene

i just hope the payoff is worth the uncomfortable reading

I agree with Epsilon, what mde this chapter for me was how "heavy" it felt, like feeling what Konatsu is feeling, something stuck in your throat or holding something heavy in your shoulder, like having your heart in a grip.
Kaede is such a sweet girl, and I am happy for the progress Koyuki has made, hopefully next chapter Konnatsu and Koyuki can have a proper talk.

Nothing has really happened in the last 10 chapters :/
