If every chapter has Kaede suffering yet another crushing blow, it won't be long before it also becomes unreadable. Considering the premise of the story, I expect that there will be an interminable number of chapters where Kaede's hopes get painfully dashed every single time until the very last chapter when the idiot has a miraculous awakening and realizes that he's loved her all along.

They look so happy together when it's just the two of the and I love their chemistry, but oof, I wonder how many times Kaede is going to have to get hurt before he finally comes to his senses!

If every chapter is just going to be him deflecting her in some roundabout way, it's going to get really painful to read...
