I would be so bitter with everyone in this house at this point, except with the brother but I don't know if it is because he is a good guy or because he just don't have much screen time.


I started praising this story but now I'm getting really annoyed with it.

In a comedy manga, household structures, feudalism, Mannerisms in that time can be disregarded if the author wishes to.
You made the big mistake of taking a gag too seriously

@Jobslayer The problem is that they aren't any close family to begin with. They are a noble family and servants, living under feudalism. There's a far bigger gap between them than just between an employer and employees. The MC shouldn't need to show any power in front of them. They should treat him with due respect automatically. Like, for Christ's sake, Mina just robbed him in the middle of a corridor. If this was a realistic series, she would be flogged till she was bleeding and begging for mercy. Well, I don't want to see that, but this "comedy" just doesn't work for me.

So, yes, the author is a bigger joke for me than this series.

That loser attitude of the MC even in front of servants does match his general personality. From the beginning of the series he has always allowed everybody to push him around. His only response has always been to run away, which behavior the teleportation magic naturally serves well. He's not doing any favours to the maids this way, though. The maids will grow too big heads and might make a tragic mistake one day with some noble guest. But then again, I guess that's just the author's own particular sense of humour (masochistic sense, that is) with no deeper meaning. Nevertheless, it's pretty strange to see how the servants of the household have a higher position in the hierarchy than the nobleman's legitimate son.

@HiraOmnibus i know practically nothing regarding beet sugar. maybe because sugarcane is so common here we make sugarcane juice out of it...actually quite good until you realize that it's practically liquid sugar, and that that's probably bad for your diet, which makes you sadly put it away like a sad puppy because it tastes so good.

But then again it seems common in Japanese manga for a woman (old or young) to be unreasonably demanding or violent.

I don't have much sympathy for Mina any more. I thought she was pitiful that she didn't get any hamburg steak, but really, what kind of maid extorts her maids for food? Alfried needs to get his sh*t together, the maids in the household are out of control.
