Vol. 16 Ch. 78 - Heiraku Throws a Question
Avatar
I'm really struggling to end this manga right now. Why? Because I don't want this to end! Sigh... I'm really gonna miss them.

only this manga can pull off a gripping cliffhanger from something as simple and mundane as the main characters wondering if they have a mutual friendship

Man, its too bad Heiraku wasn't a sporadically-appearing character. I think he'd be a fun addition to the cast with his personality =03.

in in love with this manga

THE MOST THRILLING CLIFFHANGER IN THE WORLD!

Wow, those last two chapters were the best thing I know. ๐Ÿ˜
all those nice Yugami expressions ๐Ÿ˜

Man, I'm gonna miss this manga so much.

You can see the gears grinding in Yugami's head

calling it right now
he is prolly gonna say something like
"man this coffee... IS REALLY GOOD!"
"oh yeah we are friends lmao"

HOW IS THIS QUESTION SO INTENSE
Avatar

@Drumgor
Ah it does make sense. Chihiro moving a lot she is bound to feel insecure.

@Paulo27

As good as Chihiro is at reading Yugami it feels like it's hard for her to see that he has been slowly changing and expects him to say things he'd say at the start of the series. Or maybe he really hasn't changed and is gonna troll us all.

@Kefkabot I forgot which anime/manga it was, but the quote was something like "You don't call someone your friend if they don't like you back, right?". She's just now realizing she might have jumped the gun in calling him her friend. They have been partaking in friend-like activities for almost the entirety of this series, consulting each other when they encounter obstacles. By almost every account they should be friends, but it was all a misunderstanding if he does not admit it. (EDIT: As a minor clarification the last sentence is what I assumed she thinks as a naive individual who's had very little experience with having friends. I don't personally think that friendship has to be explicitly stated to exist, but Chihiro needs the answer. The stakes are incredibly high for her.)
