@Aichan
that is interesting and bringing up a even more interesting point even if the twins are contracted by the guild they still couldn't force them to party with Kygras especially given his attitude otherwise that could lead to the destruction of the guild what with guilds in isekais being special existences and all automatically assuming that there are special rules in place that should safeguard the adventures who are part of the guild

@Tych
In the novel, the twins (who is contracted to Kygras by the guild) actually did say that Rude did nothing wrong and acknowledged his skills when Kygras kicked Rude out in the first chapter. In the novel, the rebuke against Kygras in the dungeon was also supposed to be said by one of the twins, not Nin.

I'm guessing the mangaka didn't want to put as much emphasis on the twins and try to develop Nin's affection meter with the readers instead. Probably because the twins are not supposed to be a romantic interest.

In the novel, right after the last dungeon failure, one of the twins couldn't take it anymore and rebuked Kygras, told him his faults and how Rude was the reason they were able to overcome the dungeon. And when Kygras blamed the two new hires instead, the twin said they did nothing wrong and did their jobs well, and that it was Kygras who was harming the entire party. The twins later left the party to go home to eat delicious food and maybe find a new party.

In the novel, they simply left, I don't remember if there was a mention that they couldn't leave because of the guild, but they left him first, before Nin.

The classic excuse,
always blaming the support,
some things never change.

We kinda expected that... any party that lack the protagonist (or one thereof) with only girls is bound to explode since they dont have 9999 plot armor

@Aelth why she was the only one that actually spoke up for Rude when Kygras was having his drama queen moment and even called him out on his bullshit of removing Rude from the party only reason she didn't quit too was the church ordered her to be part of Kygras' party so she couldn't leave but after he fucked up they called her back

@CountryMage Didn't realize that this is chapter 5 since it took like 3 months to get here.

God I hope Nin asks to be part of Rude's party and he tells her to fuck off. Not gonna happen, of course.

@coldpray nah my processing core just need a maintenance, i'm pretty sure if nin go run with rude like a couple who didn't get approval from their parents they will not get happy ending. i don't give a damn about little sister I NEED MOREE ADVENTURE AND ACTION!!! what's so good about little sister?

generally in fantasy/isekai if you don't belong in the same religion as someone else without being a hero you would be either executed or forbidden on entering a village

Church isn't slavery, freedom of religion, hooray.

Given that it has a medival fantasy setting, or something close to that, it is a valid assumtion that the church has the same power as it had in medival times, or at least close to it. Which means, Freedom of Religion is very much NOT a thing and getting excommunicated is essentially getting marked as persona non grata.
Medival church was more run like a mob than anything else.
Avatar
@coldpray You don't read a lot of history, I assume? Back in the old days there was no freedom of religion. Come to church or burn at the stake, more like.
Avatar
@Rover I think you have no need in glasses, but a better processing core. Church isn't slavery, freedom of religion, hooray. True, if I was MC this story would've ended on chapter 1, yahoo happy life with cute little sister.

@StorminUrAss yeah, hard to remember this is only chapter 5, and about a week after Rude was kicked out. She brought Rude into the Hero's party, and was sending some pretty strong "wife me" vibes just before his siscon kicked in, then beer belly hero kicked him out.

Also, for people comparing this hero party to others in fiction, they are always political. Either overtly, with different kingdoms and factions sending in a representative, or with hero picking up various representatives of different factions/races.

Was hilarious though, that not only was hero shown to be a scrawny weakling, but he also has a gut.
Avatar
@Fusang Well, it seems like I might have made a mistake. there are so many mangas where the guy is kicked from the party in the first chapters nowadays.
I remember a girl saying something like "Let him leave. he's a coward". seems like this wasn't the girl.
My apologies to her

I'm happy the "hero" survived. His pathetic down spiral of a life will be better punishment than instant death.

Also in team "Nin isn't that bad." But as the saint she should have at least some weight to throw in. She's in the party in the dungeon and risking her life. If the church is really concerned about her safety (if this isn't just another political scheme and she's disposable, as her status as saint is also something given by the church), they should value her opinion highly. Heck, they also should really have somebody in there organization, that can take a look into peoples skills, and look into the hero's party. The church here failed miserably. Nin's only fault is, that she didn't throw a real tantrum. She knew he is a great resource and didn't use that fact to at least keep him on the sidelines. Well, her punishment is, that in the meantime he picked up the waifu to rule them all.
