@BlazingMagpie But we're not Nabi. No one reading this is Nabi, even if they're Korean readers. You could have the same setup in terms of the actual words being said but depict it differently for a very different effect. Here, it zoomed in on Nabi's face and made it seem like her statement was something no one had seen coming. An alternative is to zoom out, to make Nabi's character slightly smaller, such as a bird's eye view. You could add in an ellipses to make her statement trail off to give the impression that it's part of this larger thing.

The way that it's shown here just seems really weird. It'd be like if Yachae got this dramatic scene at the end of a chapter and then said "I'm really worried about my weight" to his friends or something like that. He's never actually said that out loud, but we, as readers, obviously know that very well because we can see his flashbacks and his nightmares. Here, it's the same thing. We already know Nabi was bullied. It's not a revelation for readers. No reader is ever Nabi, and depicting it like this just feels weird.

If the goal was instead to emphasize how Nabi herself felt about it, then I would still say it felt weird. It focused too much on the actual "new" information and not enough on her in that case.

@givemersspls From Nabi's perspective, that is a dramatic revelation.

It's weird for me as a reader to see Nabi act like this. I mean, we know that she was bullied. The author seems to be making it a dramatic revelation, but we already knew it.
