@AbyssalMonkey Isn't that the case with almost ALL the isekai novels?
Also, I have a bigger issue with him outright pilfering his villagers' stuff... Even a god shouldn't be such a dk.

Even with all the logs pre-cut and given to you, that is a tough job to do on the first try with no related experience. Maybe he read some books on the subject or watched the primitive humans build huts?

@AbyssalMonkey no dude, I am serious when I say every stage of development, you see a couple twigs tied together, then a square frame, and on and on. Some games make you pay the material costs as the building goes up, so you can run out in the middle, with the walls framed out, but not standing.

Also I would think that the montage of his pocket settlement growing and changing, would be a pretty good explanation.

honestly, i was also surprised he's pretty skillful building that hut.
oh well, i don't want to think deep, since this is just a fiction, everything can be beyond common sense.

@CountryMage Sure, you learn what materials are used. But you don't learn the process for doing so. You see him using barn raising techniques and incorporating basic machines in his use of building a shelter. Learning to use the simple machines in such a way that they can be useful is a skill that is not easily explained. We have trade schools for parts fabrication on how to use machines that are simple machines effectively. Here we see him using those with no explanation.

@AbyssalMonkey you must not have much experience with mobile games then, because most of those skip the seasonal planting explanation, but force you to watch as your buildings are erected, some of them even require you to supply different materials for each stage of development. Guy stuck in the hospital, with nothing to do but watch YouTube and play video games, could definitely learn the necessary skills to build that hut, add in the couple years of working in his pocket dimension, and his level of skill makes perfect sense.

Edit: by skip the seasonal explanation, I mean that they let you grow whatever you want, at any time. So you're not likely to learn what plants need what climate, or how long anything takes to grow, but you will learn that a basic hut can be built from mud, twigs, leaves, and scraped bark fibers.

@Sep10trion : In this case there is also that he did not start using the village recently, and there is no telling what skills he developed pre-banishment either around town or in developing the village for his ability.

some abilities make more sense for someone who was re-incarnated and had a decade to learn the ways of their new world.

To all those wondering how these MCs have all the requisite farming, carpentry, and animal husbandry skills, the answer is simple:
every one of them, despite being from Japan, are all actually Amish and Mennonite.

This manga was *fine* until now. How the fuck does this kid know how to make a not-shitty wooden hut, and use basic mechanics while doing so. He was reincarnated, fine. But he was a cripple in the hospital who died before he turned 20. He wasn't part of the outdoors club, he wasn't a camping otaku, he wasn't a boy scout. He was your average kid. I could pick 100 people off the street of any first world country and, no matter the age so long as they were above 16, 95% of them would not have the knowledge to create that sort of enclosure. Hell, I doubt scouts could either. Scouts would build a rudimentary lean-to, not a god damn hut with logs and knots tying it together perfectly.

Now consider again, he is in a hospital. He was a cripple. That more than raises the odds that he would not have that kind of experience, even further above a random stranger on the street. Farming could totally be explained by a game. Maybe not exact science, but enough to know what seasons for what vegetable, and that shit makes plants grow better. Architectural engineering is not something easily tought by a game.

This is dumb, and the deus ex machina of knowledge will be continuing to give him all the tools he needs, disregarding how believable it is.

@Goodman44 normally, isekai MCs have the "japanese life memory" cheat though. Who needs youtube when you can always just conveniently remember something from youtube.
