But I still don't understand authors decision to shove her aside, since polygamy is a common thing in the setting anyway. But it seems that it's just the way chinese authors work. Just look at the Martial World.

It's always weird to me when you have an MC whom is considered a "genius" (even if they had secret help) and is praised for how strong and advanced they are for their age, and you watch the absurd and high-risk things they do and go through to obtain that power, and then a side-character pops up and trollface trivializes it by far surpassing them. Not that I mind in this case because I like her and I also understand she has a special constitution and that played a huge role. I'm more or less just bored and just randomly musing.
