She is being too conceited. Would he really be happy without her, would he want to be a knight? What about Luna, without all these events, she would be probably in a ditch, dead or used for experiments/war. Sister seems to me almost like a housewife, not really going out much, but taking care of their home and supporting him where she can. If she could just stop blaming herself and start to enjoy life instead, I'm sure MC would be happy as well.

Or if she really wants to pay him back, she would orchestrate a perfect female party for him. There is Luna for magic, his knight friend for physical attack, and his healing buddy from the old hero party. If she can make them all come together, creating a harem of girls, that would be the best sister he could wish for.

Unfortunately, I don't see this development any time soon. They would drag this on probably with MC being siscon for a long time and nothing will happen with other girls.

@TetraSky Well that kind of stuff is one of those "if it happens it happens" things where its entirely possible and up to the discretion of the author how to frame the story. This one seems to be going for a soft story where no one gets abused by life to any more serious degree.

Other authors create a world completely the opposite to the point where it becomes a little gratuitous. Both are valid in principle and can even coexist in the same shared universe. In the end i would say its a balancing act. Too fluffy can make things lack a sense of reality while too hard can result in undesirable levels of edge.

Just like an out of place rape scene could be jarring so too would the lack of it in situations it makes sense in.

I'm mostly surprised the author didn't include a part about Manicia being assaulted against her will when they lived in the Slum during a period where Rude wasn't there with her... Not that I'm complaining, stories with those elements in it are hard to read.

Goddamn Rude-san looks so badass in that armour~

If she suicides or something, that's when he'll be sad and unhappy for the rest of his life.
Avatar
@Enternal unfortunately, this is incorrect thinking that your existence is dragging someone else down, and that ending yourself will fix everything, is the height of arrogance. Rude is maybe selfless for sacrificing so much to help his sister, and still assisting others in need, but his sister has a very high, very negative, opinion of herself.

She doesn't realize that if it wasn't for her, he also wouldn't necessary strive to where he is today. At the same time, it also shows that she really cares about him, selfless, and is also not arrogant. Both of them are really similar in the regard. I hope that she one day be able to not look down on herself and instead, continue to strive to help her brother in any ways she can. That will also truly makes him happy and in a sense, "give back" what he "gave up" for her.

The cute thing reminds me of that "How cute.." Kaguya meme

I can see Japanese just emphasizing words like cute and sweet to be highly negative, I think they usually translate to pathetic and naive, when you look at the context. Still a good idea to change those, for the people who read it at face value.

Freaking slow plot

This series is getting better. I like the depth that the author is giving the characters, gj

Not so much a print error on page 5 as a way of showing how she interpreted it. Notice how the panel shifted to only contain her.

So how many chapters (part) would Luna use judgement to check what exactly is her disease?

I have nothing to say about this little sister's inferiority complex. We've all been there.

I hope that wasn't a deathflag
