Considering this manga is only 12 chapters long I wouldn't say we needed a rival, no. We already kinda had Ushiwaka or whatever his name was anyway. But Shizu x Shuri is still super cute so meh.

I dunno, did we really need a new guy? He seems kinda annoying, plus the whole "he's a hot foreigner but he speaks perfect Japanese and knows everything about Japanese folklore because he loves Japan" is a pretty old and lazy trope... Oh well, we'll see. In any case, the mangaka really has some same-face syndrome going on huh, especially with the guys (and the heroines are all petite and big busted XD).

Ah, that’s neat. I Iike how they brought in a western monster. It fits well with the overall concept of the story.

The T/N at the end mentioning the Red Oni and Blue Oni makes me want to go read Ore Monogatari some more.
