@RaimundoBruno I try not to look too far into it. Same thing as cologne or perfume, if I think it smells good then I'd like to share it so others smell good as well. If I went too far into that rabbit hole of every gift having some other kind of meaning then it would drive me insane.

@contrast123 @fortnog if only it were as simple as them just leaving. They had a bunch of people go on smear campaigns against MD on here and various websites. Then they whipped up a handful of other translators to leave with them.

The running theory for why they left is they always saw MD as a threat to their profits/ traffic and decided they wanted more. The admin here made a comment about how it'd be pipe dream to someday take MD legit, and JB took that as their opportunity to try and get everyone to join them in an exodus. Kind of silly since MD is pretty much the only manga aggregate that tries really hard to work with translators and accommodate them instead of just plain stealing everything.

@IgnitedSpade my best guess is that their endgame was to crash MD and get all the traffic and translators to go to their website. But that obviously hasn't happened.
