For some reason, I can't help but feel this chapter was a response to all the people who watched the anime and went "Kai-chan is terrible! Why did she make Bocchi have to become friends with the entire class!? That's just too much!! Boo Kai-chan!"

I hope that in the end both bocchi and her friend grow enough to be able to let go of this autistic promise, as she has clearly already fulfilled it in spirit.

Her class is 29 people and she is at 14. Kako is basically half a friend at this point so she is like half way done but on her last year. Work hard Bocchi you can do it.

Check chapter 5 page 5, Aru runs into a boy while at school.
Chapter 13.5 also shows boys both in the school and in their class.

There haven't been any in recent chapters iirc so the author may have retconned it to be an all girls school, but if that was the case I figured he would have mentioned it in the setting when consulted for the anime.

Bocchi made 14 friends in 2 years, but she still needs to make another 14 in a single year, can she do it? One of them is Kako, she's almost there, and Yamada will be the last one, but I wonder if she can get the other 12.
