@TheDerangedOne : Not certain about here as things are changed in the manga, but i the webnovel the curse was causing her to suffer and basically live in agony. Besides moving the date is just a waste and should be a last resort since it can only buy time to gain the LP to remove it (Not that it would take long if he was willing to aggravate Emma, as well as his sister, and go brothel hopping).

They left out a lot form this arc so far, not too sure why. Like last chapter, they should have showed them meeting like in the novel to justify MCs desire to cure her. The way he tries to edit the curse was countdown as well. he tried different things in the WN and most of them cost around the same LP to do as just removing it. Hopefully they will mention some of this in the next chapter.

edit the curse with a zero to turn the 16 to 160, cant cost more than removing it

.............. Wouldn't editing the curse to increase the time frame be cheaper? Why hasn't he checked to see what it'd cost him to boost the age the curse will kick in at. make it 20-90 or even higher or sommat. Hell, doesn't need to be that long per say, just long enough to get the LP to fully remove the damn thing.

@Liquidxlax : The MC is a native of the world on his first life, not reincarnated or transmigrated. This s not an isekai.

@Anonyan : yes it might make sense, but that means revealing his skills and he has several that higher ups families would want to abuse, and force him to use for their sole benefit. His abilities are at the level it is bow down to or enslave, and in general they are not going to bow down to someone of his rank.

Plus she could easily and rightfully get upset at him peaking into her private matters. Realistically he should ask Great Sage if it is safe to reveal them to her.

Regardless of which solutions are dumb and which are smart, shouldn't the first step be to talk to the cursed person about it?

Maybe she just doesn't know it's there, and being a super important noble has the resources to lift the curse if only she knew she had it. Maybe she already knows it's there and it going to have it taken care of in the next couple days, meaning all your effort would be wasted. Maybe her family already has that saint on speed dial for just such an occasion.

Sure, from a reader's standpoint and knowing this is a story, it's most likely a big conspiracy by some nobles who don't like her and they're covering it up real well so the only person who could possibly help her is mr. big-dick MC. But if we're talking about MC's intelligence the stupidest thing is not starting with "hey so did you know you have a curse that'll kill you in a week or..?" so you can ask her what she thinks the best course of action is.

@sjmcc13 it is sometimes understandable for the mc to be dumb cause we assume them to be an average joe. Even with a full lifes experience going to a totally new world with magic, monsters and totally different culture would be hard to acclimate to. It is far better for a mc to be born in the world and either grow up with their memories or remember them later on rather than going to the new world at an old age with no family or nothing.

@Kisato : He does in the web novel, modifying the saint's skill to reduce the cost was the cheapest option there by a large margin. Plus he wants to remove the curse since it has other effects, and basically means she is living with frequent torture (the problems she has this chapter are the curse acting up). Spoiler
@firosahoge : he is smarter then most of his society, Manga's like this almost always cut things that end up making the Mc looks dumber than he is. Plud peoples ability to think of solutions is very dependent on the education they receive, which in his case is not a good one since his family is very poor.

i think my Lower Part (LP) has also increased by 400 hehe
