The place they live at is supposed to be being demolished within 2 years at the start of the story.
I'm solidly on board with the Husband having an actual family and falsely being married to FMC, but it could also go the route of them actually having an affair figuring out where they go and what to do and then ultimately deciding it was just an affair (lol "just") and leaving when the place is demolished.
What would be worse is if the Husband wasn't having an affair and was working hard to buy a house to have a family in.
Still I think it's the Husband is cheating though.

I'm with the guys that theorize that the author is setting the husband up to be the bad guy by having another woman/wife somewhere else. My whole thing with him is why marry a young(er) wife if you don't want kids and/or sex ... like what is the point. He could have married an older woman who wouldn't crave/demand his sexual performance. If he married her for strictly appearance reasons then that is really dumb. You let someone else outside yourself decide that you have to get married even though you clearly don't want a wife. He would have been better off getting a live-in maid and/or making it clear up front that he only wants her for appearances and/or services ... you know to cook, clean, wash, etc ... basically what she is doing now anyway.

And another thing ... when did he become hers? She didn't marry him (and even then he wouldn't be Her PROPERTY) but she feels like you can control his penis. Wait ... what?
