Unless disproven, from what we know Kurumi got the best deal ever when she became War Nurse and got a job as a torturer/interrogator. It's not that surprising that a weak-willed victim of severe bullying would eventually snap and then have the time of her life when given the means to vent; the difference is that she's not indiscriminate (for now).

I think it’s gona be a more angry at the government/fairies who she thinks made kurimoi into what she is.

No, Auska's not so dumb. She loves and trusts Kurimi as her best friend, and believes the best of her, because she's seen it. To have Kurimi reveal her dark side, shocks Asuka, because she wants to believe that Kurimi is better, stronger and more noble than that.

And let's face it, isn't that what we all do for people we love and trust? To believe that they are the best people they can be?
