That's about half true. Torture is often unreliable because people might lie or at least say whatever they think you want them to say to make it stop. However, these guys don't exactly have months or even years to gradually break people in more roundabout but potentially more reliable ways, so they have to make the torture work. War Nurse's methods in particular are a bit special with the nearly kill 'em and just heal 'em thing, and she also has some manner of truth serum because magic. She used it on one of the soldiers back when they went to rescue track team girl, if anyone forgot. It's less effective against people with magic powers but that means it still can be effective to some degree.

Liking the pacing so far. Everything takes their time, from Tamara's betrayal, the twist in her condition, her kidnapping, all the way to the process of making her fall to the enemies hands. The process is long enough that it keeps me at the edge of my seat. Looking forward to the next chapter.

reminder that torture doesn't actually work - victims will lie and tell you whatever it is that you want to hear in order to stop the torture. if you want info that's actually true you need to use other methods

@Red225 I think its moreso because Kurumi (War Nurse) has the capability to mess directly with the brain and nervous system that her torture methods are that much worse - she could amplify the sensations people felt by ridiculous numbers to the point where even a brush of wind would set off your body's natural pain sensors, so I imagine a bit of aphrodisiac and some rubbing for an hour or two is nothing to Nazani compared to that.
