That's a thing that happened after they worked for the baddies anyway. Asuka was talking about the things that happened to them before they even had any powers, and likely contributed to them working for the baddies in the first place. The fact that Kurumi still made a face like that when bad things happening to them was brought up means she at least realizes she's not exactly doing people favors when she tortures them, heals them, and tortures them some more. If she wasn't aware of that she'd be well and truly crazy.
