From what I could read, the text by the prince is actually (pretty sure I got the first Kanji wrong):

I can't read Japanese, I use tools to help me do it, but I really can't make out that first Kanji, so I really don't know where she was for two years, but I think it's an academy? Maybe? ?

Those fonts hurt me.

It's a decent manga but the type set is absolute cancer. Should have chosen an easier to read font that's easy on the eyes.
