Ah ok I get it, so they call her ugly for the shadow (burn) in her right eye, so even though we don't see nothing ugliness in her, its just the way artist depicts it.

As already stated by others I REALLY don't understand how that beauty can be labelled as "ugly". Not a single reason, NONE. Bah...

You'll have to explain to me how that woman is ugly because dear lord, the only conclusion I can come up with is that these guys rape literal goddess every other week so their standards are way too high for us normal mortals to comprehend.

For guys wondering how is she ugly. In old Chinese theatre, instead of making actual facial scars, makeup artists would just paint a red patch on the face to indicate scarring since no one's going to see the scar up close anyway.

It's become a running gag for Chinese pop culture ever since.
