Scythes are terrible weapons... when they're not made specifically to be weapons. There actually were war scythes, they just don't really look that much like the farming implements did. Go figure.



Basically, gotta make it more like a spear or other conventional polearms rather than these awkward ass things we tend to get in fantasy settings. But hell, that's a whole rabbit whole to go down in general for weapons we see in fantasy. So many of them are impractical as hell. But, rule of cool trumps that. Gotta try not to take this shit too seriously.
