@KINGJOE excuse me If I came as rude, but how in the world does rain is ungrateful? She was just upset to know the truth about how her name came to be, she deserved to be upset for that. Imagine you parent name you as something funny and it was actually on the spot, even if you're cool about it, that doesn't mean others will do the same. |

I dunno. Just throwing this out there but if they were assassins, you’d think they’d stop looking after their target had disappeared for, what, 8 years? TBH, I think the only reason they’d be looking at all is that they wanted to confirm whether or not the silver-haired child was actually dead or not. Might be giving the author too much credit, but if I saw a young child who looked exactly like the child I thought was dead years prior, in the care of literally the strongest swordsman in their world, I’d want to verify whether or not it was really that kid before I acted on it. And if I was told to find traces of said child’s death, found an unmarked grave that roughly lined up with where I expected her to be dead and some guy accused me of grave robbing in the middle of a forest where people clearly die, I’d probably be jumpy and draw a knife too. |

@Med1um - Meh, I knew what you were getting at. I read a lot of traditional and modern literature about Buddhism and Daoism, all that shit about being above mortal and worldly worries, etc. Because of that, even in fiction with those kinds of mindsets, I have yet to read about a character that was so uninterested after asking questions, to not come to a very obvious conclusion. If the guy never confronted them at all, and just watched them with disinterest, I would wholeheartedly agree with you. Because that implies that what they are doing is of no concern to him. This also applies to the argument that they intruded on his paradise. Because again, if he didn't care at all, he wouldn't have talked to them. I know, I'm over-reaching, it's a damn manga, lol. As I said, because of my own experiences it just felt way too forced and therefore cringey to me that this guy was that incompetent. Otherwise, ya, I agree with you about your opinion. As for the "last straw" I was already annoyed from chapter 1. I just put up with it because I was hoping something may come out of it. But this chapter made me cave because of the issue with his master and how just horribly sub-servant the and condescending everyone is to the mc. In fact, except for the girl that likes him and for the most part Rain, the only people that treat him with any kind of respect is the hero's women. And that's simply because they fear him and are worried the hero would die if he didn't stop. So it's not even respect but fear. Anyway, to each his own I suppose. I'm making it sound like a bigger deal then what it is, but that's just because I wanted to rant. It's honestly not all that bad, just to me it's forced and cringey when it doesn't need to be. |

given how he's a several millennia old sage, I have to wonder if he actually knew exactly what those men were there for and sent them intentionally after MC instead of misguiding them... |

"i wonder what my disciple is doing these days" hes busy being a castrated slave to an evil demon queen. you might have taught him to fight but you never taught him to stand up for himself. |

@Akemua Don't misunderstand me, i don't really like that story, and not gonna "shill" for it. :) Story is full of plotholes much larger than that, and blatantly speaking plot presentation is boring as f. So what i want to say, suiboku's action make much more sense than this entire manga. "Murdering psychopath"... well, it's not exactly wrong, but keyword here is "in the past". He changed, the same way that our MC changed. After so many years in solitude with only swordpath and nothing else, made them lethargic and indifferent. He reached enlightement and can't even be called a human anymore. His emotion is paralized, his only goal is reaching new height of the sword. Why should he deny simple question? I just wanted to say, that i kinda dropped that manga long time ago, because it's just plain boring, even though i rather enjoyed initial plot idea, such a shame. Well, i'm still here, but not to extent that i'm waiting for new chapter, right now i'm indifferent to this as much as suiboku :) If anything, the only thing that i wanted to see is their reaction to his age... In which autor also wasn't able to meet my expectation. Everything was plain as the name of the manga suggest... Just find it quite strange when people say that suiboku's action was "last straw". After all those horrible chapters before, suiboku's action can't even be considered strange and rather fitting to his character. |

@Med1um - I get it, you like the story. But that's no reason to shill for it. It's a blatantly horrible plot hole and all-around bad storytelling scenario. I already said, it's a lighthearted story and it's really not meant to be taken seriously. But the cringe was just so bad It didn't matter anymore. The excuse that because he is sage makes him above worldly matters doesn't fly. It's literally stated in this chapter he was a murdering psychopath. Or at least someone that enjoyed destruction and fighting. My comment, simply stated that for someone that is old as he is, is apparently too stupid to understand what was going on. Again, it was not at all difficult to put two and two together (even excluding the readers perspective) but for some reason, a person that has lived the life of mortal through fighting and seeing human nature. To then gain enlightenment and live for thousands of years to not even question WHY they were looking for that woman and her daughter is what annoyed me. It was such a pathetic way to foreshadow and develop drama that it ruined the overall chill feel of the manga. Plus what I said about the mc and other characters. Again, as I said, if you enjoy the manga, good for you guys, more power to you. I hope you enjoy it and have fun reading it. But as for me, I'd rather read something that actually focuses and what the author attempted to write about. Who knows tho, maybe the novel is better and I might check it out instead. But for now, I'd rather read something like this https://mangadex.threeproxy.net/title/19472/uchi-no-musume-no-tame-naraba-ore-wa-moshikashitara-maou-mo-taoseru-kamo-shirenai And this https://www.novelupdates.com/series/isekai-yururi-kikou-raising-children-while-being-an-adventurer/ that genuinely focuses on what this was supposed to be about. Anyway, cheers mate, hope you have fun and sorry for the long message. |

@bradek Well, the hooded men are retards too for believing the words of a random person suddenly appearing inside a forest. It's like they said "well, this not suspicious at all dude just said the baby isn't here, so let's go look somewhere else" |
