I disagree with you on several points, but I'll be brief.

First, I think we have plenty of evidence that he is not lacking in time. He has enough time to chill with his friend during school, go to a mixer with his friend after school (he didn't go, but was seriously considering it if only for the free food), and there is even a scene with him going to karaoke with his friend and his girlfriend before going to work. If he has time to do all these things with his friend, he has time to do them with a girlfriend.

Second, I stand by my use of the word grooming. He is a minor. Moreover, he is her student and she is using her position as his teacher as a pretext to monitor/control his behaviour (ie make him stop working overtime). She is giving him special attention that we don't see her giving other students (ie. cooking for him) and allowing innappropriate physical contact (ie. lap pillow).

Aside from the lap pillow, you might be able to forgive the other behaviour as that of an over zealous teacher. However, when you take into consideration the promise of a future sexual relationship, then this becomes the kind of thing that is only forgivable in a manga.

Mind you, I have yet to read the most recent chapters, my opinion may change after I do.

Aww. In the end, whatever this "relationship" is, they're both quite sincere.

Ah no, I don't see it as an actual threat. It's pretty clear that she was just saying that in the moment. It was an empty threat and I doubt that she'd be capable of following through with it.

I was really just thinking about the logistics of such a threat. A threat, to be effective, must imply some kind of future harm to the person being threatened. However, in this case, the threat implies more benefit than harm!

Social gatherings that include single girls, potential relationships with said girls, the other things a growing boy would want to do once he gets a girlfriend (*wink, wink* *nudge, nudge*), all of that becomes possible to him if he just 'breaks up' with the teacher.

Sure, he would lose his (promise of a )relationship with the teacher in 3 years, but being free of that 'relationship' would allow him to do so many other things that I have difficulty really seeing it as a loss. The only things keeping him waiting like this are his feelings.

Kinda sad if you think about it...

Interesting perspective on the relationship threat. Just seems like a standard exaggeration/half-truth to me. I would never think to take it seriously. What made you see this as an actual threat? Do you not like the teacher and/or disagree with her actions in this chapter?

Honestly, although I like this story, I'd be more interested in seeing how they actually got together in the first place.
