To be fair to Ajest, she likely thought that Desir must have caught Romantica off guard and defeated her before she could use her magic, so it wasn't wrong of her to try to immediately overpower the MC with magic. However, I do think she could have been more cautious and perhaps considered alternatives to just attacking the MC. Perhaps create an ice wall?

That was a close shave for the mc, he outsmarted her hands down.
Wonder how shocked everyone else will be?
My bet is they accuse him of cheating.
Though the 2 girls he just beat will be on his side I bet

@Kireato : nice analysis, that's exactly what I thought too. I must add that after her first attack (where she didn't had the time to use all her arrows because she had to release them before he analyses and overtakes them all) the MC had stolen some of her glyphs, making him harder to dismiss and run away from.

And for the part: "There's probably nothing besides analysis magic that could explain that." Not really true. As you said, the MC 's analysis is at least of the level of a 6 tiered magician, so nobody would think the MC to use it. I think it would have been more plausible (for her) if the MC was just a strong magician who can somehow hide his power.



Anyways, it's a really great manga, I love how the MC and the other characters react and how everything is well explained. I love that the MC wins in the end without unbelievable shenanigan and that is not a crushing victory.
