The author and the publishers don't give a shit about what "we" think, despite us being paying readers or not. They only care about their japanese readers, and those tend to like virgin heroines and dickless MCs, for obvious reasons. Spoiler
That being said, I'm glad they think the way they do. I prefer MCs that think with their heads, instead of their dicks. And heroines that act like normal human beings, rather than brainwashed sex slaves.
